Make a Quiz with QR Codes - post them around the room or simply print them on a piece of paper or on a website. If you put them on paper, many forms of the test/quiz can be generated and make them harder for students to cheat on by changing the order on the page - but be careful - questions can also leave the room this way as well unless you are using in-class only mobile devices. I wonder if they could be done in edmodo (https://www.edmodo.com/) or schoology (https://www.schoology.com/home.php)? Post if you've tried or have other ideas!
Things to remember when doing group work/group activities
Divide students into groups quickly or even the day before!
Make sure to include some kind of assessment such as an exit slip or quiz or presentation to the class at the end of the activity
Remember that not all students like working in groups and not all students like working alone. Keep that in mind when planning your activity. Mix it up from day to day!
